Meet Your Principal

I have been teaching at home for 11 years and opened my center to more learners in January 2020.

Our story

Tottum learning center is private institution, creating a safe, peaceful environment where your child can learn in Afrikaans. With us, each student receives one to one attention, Although we start at 8 a.m., we're up early for students who are dropped off early. We also have supervision for students until 5 a.m. in the afternoon for the students whose parents work.

Our lesson material

We're not a school!!! We are a private institution that offers a service to parents who are discouraged because their children are not making progress in mainstream schools. Parents who seek a place where someone cares for their children, with Christian values. CAPS-aligned lesson materials to make learning enjoyable, interesting, and stimulating. Our offerings are designed to facilitate personalized learning, empowering students to study at their own pace and convenience, no matter the time or place.

What you need

Students do most of their work in class, so they rarely get homework.

There is no school uniforms, so you save money on them. Centre necessities for gr R - 3 are grey pencils, coloring crayons, scissors , glue, ruler , feathering, thick ladder (for Assessments) and then a homework booklet (72 p lines book) Necessities for gr 4-12: a script for each subject, gray pencils. blue pens color pins and highlighters(optional), scissors, glue, ruler , eraser and thick books for Assessments
