At C Clean, our story began many years ago on a South African farm, where natural living was simply a way of life. Long before modern cleaning products filled the shelves, families relied on traditional Boerseep—made by hand using age-old methods and natural ingredients.
After each winter slaughter, every part of the animal was carefully used. Meat was cured, preserved, and made into biltong, while the fat was transformed into Boerseep.
The freshly made soap was laid out in the sun and wind to cure, providing enough natural soap for the family throughout the year. It was a simple, sustainable way of living that has stood the test of time.
The Inspiration Behind C Clean
Years later, while running a guesthouse, we encountered a common problem. No matter which commercial products we tried, towels never looked truly clean, white linen began to yellow, and laundry simply wasn't as fresh as it should be.
That's when we remembered the Boerseep our mother used to make.
We returned to this trusted family recipe and immediately saw the difference. Linen became cleaner, towels softer, and stubborn stains disappeared naturally. That moment marked the beginning of C Clean.
